Event Summary
Narrative
A passing pre-frontal trough and cold front, coupled with a mid-level disturbance, produced severe thunderstorms across Southeast New York. The largest impact was across the Lower Hudson Valley, where there was at least one supercell, which produced a tornado in Orange County, and caused a microburst in Westchester County. Large tree branches were reported down, taking down power lines along East 102nd Street in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn.
