Event Summary
Narrative
A warm front lingered just north of the region while a cold front approached the region from the west during the day. This resulted in scattered showers and thunderstorms which produced heavy rain and flash flooding in Queens. Several cars were stranded in flood waters on the Cross Island Pkwy near Bell Blvd. in Bayside. The FDNY responded to rescue people from their vehicles.
