Narrative

With moist unstable air in place, clusters of severe thunderstorms formed as a cold front moved southeast toward the area. As storms raced southeast, they produced high winds that knocked down trees and power lines at the sites listed above. In addition, wind damage was observed in both Montgomery and Newburgh (Orange County) at 1:15 pm EST.
